I always have crumbs under my kitchen island stools. I wipe down the counter after the kids have a snack, push in the stools, and think I’m finished, until I look down. Also, there are the coffee grounds around the espresso machine and the bits of dried-up food that fall out of the compost bin. It’s rarely a big mess, but it’s enough to stick to my socks and get pushed around the house, yet never quite enough for me to haul out the full-size vacuum.
So when I recently spotted the $10 Zephra cordless vacuum from Dollar Tree on social media, I perked right up. A lightweight, inexpensive vacuum I can grab in seconds is exactly what these little messes call for. I’m getting one ASAP.
Why It’s on My Shopping List
This vacuum is a two-in-one. It converts from a handheld to a stick vacuum with two extension rods. It also comes with a removable filter and dustbin, plus three attachments, including a floor head, a brush, and a crevice tool. It’s rechargeable, but I’m curious to see how long a charge lasts.

Most importantly, it’s cordless, Which means I wouldn’t have to unwrap a cord and find an outlet before starting. And for something I’d likely use for a minute or two at a time, that convenience is a big part of the appeal.
I’d probably use the handheld option most of the time to get crumbs and small messes, instead of trying to coax them out of a corner with a dishcloth. However, I do like that I could attach the rods and floor head to clean beneath the stools. I wouldn’t use it as a full replacement for my vacuum or broom, but I like that it could make cleaning smaller messes easier.
How I Plan To Put It To Work
Beyond the crumbs around the island, I’d probably use it daily around our espresso machine, where, no matter how careful we are, dry coffee grounds always end up. The crevice tool would also be handy inside our kitchen cabinets, especially the one that holds our compost bin, where dry crumbs and bits land, as well as the cabinet corners and drawers where they tend to hide.
I also plan on keeping everything together in the hallway storage by my kitchen so getting it out won’t feel like a barrier. I know that for $10, it probably won’t be perfect. But at this price, it could help with a lot of my everyday messes, so I see no reason not to try it.
