I write about Dollar Tree a lot, so I like to think I have my finger on the pulse of its latest inventory. But as anyone who shops there knows, sometimes the finds are, well, hard to find. The Surefresh coffee dispensers hit shelves last year. The flip-top, sealable container with its own scoop, reminiscent of old-school Tupperware, sounded like a useful addition to my pantry for far more than just coffee. But whenever I went to the store, they were sold out.
Well, friends, I have some great news. They’re back on shelves for just $1.50, and this time I snagged one for myself.
Why I Love Dollar Tree’s Coffee Dispenser
Despite its slightly misleading name, this “coffee dispenser” is a sturdy plastic storage container with some pretty thoughtful features. For one, it holds about 50 fluid ounces (just over six cups), and the clear plastic body lets me see what’s inside and when I’m running low. The lid also has an extra flip-open flap for grabbing smaller portions, and the included scooper fits inside. The scooper is an underrated bonus and saves me from digging through a drawer for a measuring cup or spoon.

Why I Love It: I love that it keeps pantry staples visible and easy to access, with a clever flip-open lid and built-in scooper that make grabbing a small portion quick and mess-free.
What I’m Planning To Store—It’s Not Coffee
Since we eat oats daily in our house, I’ve dedicated mine to hold our rolled oats, which are now easy to shake or scoop out for oatmeal and overnight oats.

I buy bulk flour from Costco and keep it in my basement pantry. So having a smaller container in the kitchen for dusting counters and everyday baking projects would be handy. I’m also thinking about buying another for the seed mix we scoop into cereal, smoothies, and yogurt—another thing we do most mornings.
Sugar is on the list, too. I like that the scooper makes it easy to add a bit of sweetness to a special coffee or sprinkle into our favorite pancake batter. (Who am I kidding? I’ll probably own three more by next week.)
For now, at least, I’m happy with the one I bought. It already feels like a nice little upgrade. I know that it’s “just” a container. But if it saves me from an open bag, a misplaced scooper, and a few other everyday annoyances, that, my friends, feels like a pretty big win.
