This $1.50 Dollar Tree Find Looks Like It Came Straight From Anthropologie

My kids are obsessed with Halloween decorations—the bigger, the better. I don’t love the idea of giant inflatables on the front lawn, though. I have a more understated style, and honestly, where do people store them after Halloween? If it were solely up to me, I’d skip the extravagant decorations and pick up a handful of cute, seasonal things I’d actually use.

When I spotted Dollar Tree’s spooky-cute glass Halloween tumblers, I knew I’d found a happy medium. With playful Halloween designs, they look remarkably similar to Anthropologie’s Mystic Halloween Icon Glass Tumblers. At $1.50 each, I picked up three: one for me and one for each kid.

The kids will still get their Halloween decorations, but now I have a happy (and affordable) compromise that’s fun enough for the kids, useful enough for me, and takes up a lot less room than a 10-foot inflatable.

Why I Love Dollar Tree’s Halloween Glass Tumblers

The Anthro tumblers are cute, but I can’t justify buying seasonal ones for the whole family. They’re regularly $24 each, though when I checked, they were on sale for $19.95. My three glasses came to $4.50 before tax, whereas three Anthropologie tumblers would cost $59.85 on sale!

Like the Anthro tumblers, Dollar Tree’s are made of glass, feature the trendy can shape and raised, tactile icons, and come with a coordinating lid and straw. (My kids had a very serious debate over the purple one with black cats and the green one covered in bats.) More importantly, when I set them out for drinks, they have a similar vibe. If you’re looking for a higher-end piece, Anthro’s are handblown, with hand-applied beaded icons, a bamboo lid, and a stainless steel straw. Mine are undeniably simpler, but for the price, I’m happy to admire the Anthro version from afar.

How I’m Using My Halloween Tumblers

A special glass makes my iced coffee or matcha feel like a treat. I pour cold brew or matcha over ice, add a splash of milk (and lately, my homemade banana cold foam), and pop on the lid. The first morning we had them, I served my kids green “Frankenstein” smoothies, and the glasses might be all the encouragement my kids need to drink one before school.

First, though, I need to set up some Halloween decorations for the kids. I’m not a monster, after all. I just play one on Halloween.
